Reliable Scion Pinups Details!!!

WOO HOOO!!!!! Scion Pinups is right around the corner!! If you’ve been before, you kind of know what to expect, for those of you that haven’t read along here, we’re gonna have a blast!!

At the top of ScionPinups.com there is a tab titled “schedule”. Read through that, and you’ll have a good idea of what we’re doing and where to catch up with the group as the weekend progresses!

Here’s the things you want to know!

1. Car washing at Patriot Auto Wash is FREE for Scion Pinups contestants from 4-6pm. Come out and meet up with us to get your car cleaned up before the show!

2. We’re hosting the years final “Shine-N-Dine” at Steak ‘n Shake at 1550 S. Glenstone in Springfield MO. Here we’ll have a separate car show featuring ALL MAKES AND MODELS!! You can find out details about Shine-N-Dine at www.Shine-N-Dine.com

3. Pumpkin Carving Contest is at the Shine-N-Dine on October 16th. All pumpkins must have a Scion or Shine-N-Dine theme (however you take that is up to you!), Reliable Scion is going to keep and display all the pumpkins at Reliable Scion to celebrate the holiday, ALL PUMPKINS MUST BE ENTERED BY 8 PM!! The prize for this contest is a 16g wifi iPad!!

4. Scion Pinups starts at 8am on Sunday October 17th. You can register all the way up until noon though, so if you are traveling from out-of-town, you don’t HAVE to wake up at 3 am to get here. You’ll be judged at your own pace, when you are finished cleaning your car (we are professionally photographing every car IN A STUDIO, so PLEASE clean it up real nice for us) you’ll take the car to the judges on the Reliable Scion service drive. Now isn’t that nice?! You get judged when YOU want, and you aren’t stressed all day waiting for judges to get to you!

5. After you are judged, take the car to the car wash. We’ve had some guys in the past decide to wait awhile, which just plain screws up the logistics and then everyone ends up waiting on YOU and you don’t want to be THAT guy do ya?!

6. Please, Please, Please get your car photographed. Some of you are shy, or don’t really care about it . . . We’re making a calendar of the winners here and REALLY would like to have a shot of all the winners to put in the calendar. It never fails though every year we have someone who didn’t bother getting their photos taken and they end up winning but I can’t put them in the calendar because they didn’t go to the studio to get their shots taken!

7. People REALLY liked last years shirts, so we’ll be recreating a new shirt for this year. We’ll do T-Shirts and Dickies style shirts for everyone again. These will be first come, first served. You’ll get your Dickies shirt when you are completed judging, so that’s your incentive to get in and get judged early.

8. $100 cash prize for the best Pinups model. I’ve done Pinups for 2 years now, and I’ve yet to see a girl come and dress like a Pinup! What gives? Did I need a prize?! Well here ya go! I’ll do an applause meter at the awards ceremony at 4pm, so if you are into dressing up and modeling for some awesome cars, get a cool outfit together and come show it off a little!

9. Test Drive the new 2011 tC! 1st 25 drivers get a pair of movie passes, and everyone who test drives gets in a drawing for $500 CASH (actually a gift card, but it spends like cash!). We’ll be signing up drivers as the day goes on, you have to provide verifiable proof of valid full coverage insurance, be 18 or older, and have a valid Drivers License.
